I'm anticipating earning my second masters next summer (August 2019) and I'd like to move right into a doctorate program that fall in a sports science of some sort. So far I've found two programs that look interesting. My first choice is an Ed.D in Kinesiology from UNC-Greensboro. Tuition in around 30K for the program which isn't great, but very reasonable. The courses seem interesting and helpful to my career and personal goals. Completed in 4 years, no more, no less with 3 trips to campus needed in years 1, 3, and 4. https://kin.uncg.edu/academic-programs/edd-online/ My second choice is a Ph.D or Ed.D in Leadership- Health and Human Performance from Concordia University-Chicago. The biggest downfall here is the tuition which is around 50K, no thank you. Also this is technically a degree in Leadership with a concentration in Health and Human Performance. The courses are more geared towards a leadership, statistics, and administrational type of background rather than sports science. No trips to campus are required which is nice. https://exsci.cuchicago.edu/phd-health-human-performance Are there any other doctorate degrees out there in a sports science (exercise science, exercise physiology, human performance, kinesiology, etc)? I'm not really interested in other types of sports degrees such as sports management, sports leadership, etc. I'd really like one that focuses mainly on the science of sports and human movement. Anything like that out there that I'm missing?
