Alright, I finally found a method to pay for my PH.D that doesn't involve more loans. I simply asked my employer....why didn't I do this a long time a go? My next mission is to present them with a college that they will feel is worthy of their investment. The doctoral program has to be in the technology arena. I want to weigh all my options, so I am looking a profit and non-profit schools. I have spoken with the usual suspects Walden, Capella, and Phoenix. I need to find a few non-profit schools to investigate as well. If I were working on another Masters I would have a tone to chose from. I found that everyone including Oregon State and Drexel have jumped on the distance bandwagon, offering tons of MS/MA online programs. I did find one technology doctoral program from Indiana State University that looks very good. Has anyone heard anything about this program? I know the college as Larry Bird's Alma Mater. http://www.indstate.edu/distance/technology-phd.html
They are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. Not too shabby, I dare say.
