Does anyone have any ideas where I might find DL credit courses for my 16 yo daughter. Due to a heavy course load she won't be able to fit in AP History next year, yet she would like to do some kind of history course. The problem is, of course, her age.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

on-line credit for 16 year old

Good Morning, If you lived in Burlington County,New Jersey your daughter could attend the community college in person or on-line for almost any program. I hopes this gives you some ideas. I had previously read that TESC has some type of educational relationship with home-schoolers but have been unable to find the reference. PBS airs some history college credit opportunities. The only annoying factor to these opportunities is the need for a "SPECIAL" application which is sometimes handled by people who once worked in financial aid. Have a peaceful day. Good luck in your quest. Hille

    Oh very funny Hille.... "grin".

We're in Pittsburgh PA. There are a total of 10 colleges in our area, you'd think I could find just one. Actually Pitt offers a summer program, but a lot depends on whether her high school is prepared to cooperate, and currently their attitude appears to be "well you have to take what's on offer here" Obviously another graduate of FAOC (financial aid officer college).

on-line credit for 15 year old

Hello, I checked BCC website for out of state tuition. It would be 149. per credit. If this price is within your budget they have good on-line courses and high school students currently involved. Hille

At one point, someone posted a directory web site listing a variety of distance learning courses from a vast array of regionally accredited schools, with tuition starting at about $65/sh.

Anyone know where I might find this thing...?

    Cheers,

  6. Last post in this thread had a list of directory web-sites. Don't know if what you are after is there. And not all the links work now anyway.
