Dear All I am been reading these forums for years now and have decided to join. It has been a wonderful resource to me in the past. A short question for you, I am soon to finish my PhD in Education and also have a Masters in Education (Leadership / Management). Which institutions do you suggest I approach for online faculty or adjunct positions? what is the pay like? would institutions accept me being a fresh graduate and all? I look forward to your reply. Many thanks in advance. David
First, welcome to the board. As far as teaching positions, I have applied to several schools right after I finished my masters and did not get any responses. After I had my masters for about six months, I re-applied to three of the schools and got an interview with two of them. Of those two, I am completing online facilitator training for one and have been offered the training by the other. The third said they will contact me if interested. Bottom line, you should not have a problem. First look at DeVry, University of Phoenix, and UCUM. Good luck.
Two good websites to keep your eyes on are; http://www.chronicle.com/jobs http://www.higheredjobs.com Good luck!
David, welcome to the forum: you might try http://www.adjunctnation.com/ and also a search on monster.com for: adjunct on-line adjunct professor all net some different opportunities. Another option is to look at the schools who offer on-line degrees as very often they have eployment needs or are setting up applicant pools for future opportunities Good Luck, Kevin
