Purdue Global is basically Kaplan University with a name and tax status change. It is its own school with open admissions like before. It's essentially the same as CSU Global. Purdue Online will be the online division for the original Purdue. So, if one wants to take advantage of the good reputation of Purdue's flagship campus, then one would choose Purdue Online instead of Purdue Global.
This will be great for those who actually want a degree from Purdue. It will be interesting to see if they add more degree programs to their online offerings.
I think that they should also create Purdue Extension so that they can have a community college-style online campus as well.
