This is awesome. They are the third university in Jamaica to achieve institutional accreditation from the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ). The first to achieve this status was the University of the West Indies, Mona, followed by the University of Technology. I think the UCJ is now realizing the importance of institutional accreditation as opposed to individual program accreditation that they have traditionally been utilizing over the years.
