How 'bout you go read the postings I've made elsewhere around here since you started this thread (and compare that contribution to yours); and then, knowing that I've also gotten tons of work a helluva lot more meaningful than fashion design done in between, you re-think that comment in my case and show a little damned respect... okay, Fashion School?

And have a little patience when you make a posting and click on the "Submit Reply" button. Once is enough, no matter how long it takes...

...or did you not notice your multiple postings. Obviously the system, and not you, was fully functional.

I'm done with this thread. You guys can flirt with the new nutjob and deal with her arrogance and marginal propensity for general recklessness (which, mark my words, you'll see lots of if she becomes a regular around here) if you want.

    I'm outta' here. Bye.

And.... DesElms needs to take a chill pill and adopt a more hospitable attitude towards the fairer sex.....

    LOL!

Wow . . . that has to be the most effete example of snobbery I have ever seen on degreeinfo.com. (I won't even touch his sentence structure.)

Kudos to crazie8chck, who has obviously done a better job of "pushing buttons" than anyone here in many, many moons. DesElms' reaction alone was worth this thread. Pompous as hell, but funny.

Gotta wonder how DesElms would handle, say, a trucker with a Ph.D. :D

You think his post here is absurd, look under Accredited vs. Approved DETC and ACICS. You'll have an opportunity to read pages of absolutely nothing followed by statements that the replies were rhetorical. I think he needs a hypothetical ego enema.

    Del, Des ............Whatever

I think whatever the initial response was to Crazy's post has been overtaken by the boards redicule of YOU and you continuing rantings and ramblings.

I for one find you funny. ( But my eyes are going bad trying to decipher your sentences)

    And...........................you wrote "It's "DesElms," lazjazz".

    In defense of DesElms...

Wait a minute… I too thought DesElms’ posts in this thread were a tad assumptive and adversarial, but he does often contribute excellent, if at times controversial commentary, and occasionally some good and well considered advice to this forum. I too had the impression that original thread started with a post reminiscent of dating-chat, along the lines of; “Hi, my name is Bunny and I just turned 18. I’m into piercings, strip-foosball, ice-cream and puppy-dogs, and am looking for a friend with similar interests.” Maybe that wasn’t crazie8chck’s intent when she posted, but DesElms was not the only forum member who had the same impression. I do think he went a little overboard with his reply, and shouldn’t have publicly admonished her, but to discount all his contributions to this forum is unfair.

    To crazie8chck:

Welcome to this forum. If many of us (myself included) got the wrong impression from your initial post, do not let it discourage you. Despite the rocky introduction, you will likely find some valuable information regarding DL here.

    If only

“Hi, my name is Bunny and I just turned 18. I’m into piercings, strip-foosball, ice-cream and puppy-dogs, and am looking for a friend with similar interests.”

If only I were 18 years old again. ( sigh )

Okay... I'm back. Having been pointed-out to me by a friend, the short-sighted betrayal here made me feel that I had to at least make this reply...

Go ahead and take your swipes, everyone... but let's just see, over time, who had whose number first. Wait for it.

Exactly. The point was so you'd know how it felt. Sorry you missed it.

    Thank you.

Re: Oy ~ To the "tolerant" libby

I thought you didn't believe in Jesus? Either way, is it really necessary to use the Lord's name in vein? Please don't. Thanks!

In any event, Gregg, your posts on this thread aren't very tolerant or accepting. I thought that is what you libbies were all about?

I'm sure if CrazyGirl started a thread to bash President Bush or to defend baby murder and/or the killing of Terry Schiavo, you'd be the first to welcome her to the board.

Re: Oy ~ To the "tolerant" libby

I beg your pardon? Where on earth would you ever get an idea like that? Just because I have no patience for right-winged, fundamentalist or evangelical, palms-to-the-skies, tears-in-their-eyes, using-the-bible-as-a-weapon zealots? Think again! I'm a lifelong Lutheran (formerly LCA), and currently of the ELCA variety (you can ask Janko what that means) who's pissed as hell that we're not moving fast enough, as a church body, on, for example... let me think of an issue that will really get under your skin... oh.. okay... how 'bout this one: Officially sanctioning gay marriage and gays in the clergy!

Me and Jesus understand each other just fine, thankyouverymuch... and speak daily.

I'll try... but please don't hold your breath... I wouldn't want you to turn blue or anything.

Even liberals -- in fact, especially liberals -- don't suffer fools.

I repeat: Take your swipes while you can; but I believe time will show that I spotted something, here, from the git go, that you've all missed. Wait for it.

    See how the Right spins?

    [sigh]

Pointing out what's wrong with the Bush presidency based on the issues and his performance isn't "bash[ing] President Bush." Advocating for a woman's right to choose isn't "defend[ing] baby murder." Believing (and, by the way, I've never commented on this publicly anywhere before, so you're just presumin' this one... howsoever accurately) that a husband has the right to honor his wife's expressed wishes not to live in a persistent or near-persistent vegetative state is not endorsing the "killing of Terry Schiavo," or anyone else for that matter.

You know... you should go easy on the "killing," theme, there, Mr. Pro-Death-Penalty.

And, no... if Fashion School started a thread which agreed with my viewpoints (as if that would ever happen), it would not blind me to what's really going on around here with her...

...as would be true if you did, as well.

Re: Re: Oy ~ To the "tolerant" libby

Your repeated bashings of respectable Christian schools may have given me the impression.

You may be right, you may be wrong. That’s not the point. What ever happened to giving someone the benefit of the doubt? I thought civil libertarians believed in the presumption of innocence.

Hmmm. I am anti abortion and pro death penalty. I am of the belief that innocent life should be protected at all costs, and that due process receiving murders should be hanged.

You support a woman's right to murder her child. Are you also opposed to the death penalty? Killing innocent babies while saving convicted murders from just deserts! Makes sense to me!

I don’t get it. Why do you call her Fashion School? What's wrong with fashion school? Are you trying to insult her? Do you think you are better than her? Is what you do so much more important? Doubt it!

Welcome to the board. Since MA in not far from NY - something to think about...When I lived in NY/NJ, I had friends that went to FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology http://www.fitnyc.suny.edu/html/dynamic.html ) in NYC for weekend classes and seminars. That might be something you can add to your education.

    Just a thought and welcome.
