No thesis or capstone. 4 core course, 2 electives in higher Ed, 2 electives of my choosing. My program doesn't have a lot of fin aid to offer, other programs at the school do. I pay 10% of total program costs because I am a harvard employee, but the Ed.m in higher Ed is the only program that can be done part-time and then only by Harvard employees.

    Thanks for the info.

You have a amazing deal by the way - only 10% of the cost. Awesome.

And no one will ever doubt that a EdM from HGSE is a real degree or not like some people do with HES degrees.

Good luck with your program :)

Thank you. I'm half way through. Be done next June. I plan on taking one elective at HKS and the other at HBS (assuming I make it through the lottery process HBS uses).

It's because people are either capitalists or they're not. Apparently, Harvard should offer degrees for free? Seriously, the HES courses are not expensive, people need to get a grip.

I think the tuition went up a tad but still it's about 2 grand for 4 grad credits ($500/credit). Are there cheaper schools? Yes, is that the goal? To always find the cheapest? In my podunk town here, you could attend either of the 2 privates (which I'm sure no one has heard of) and pay about $1000 per credit.

The graduate DL classes went up $50 to $1950. IIRC, the undergrad courses are only ~$1,000. I checked out a few other schools for IT related degrees, and every school of their caliber (Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, University of Chicago(non-dl)) was 50%-100%+ more expensive.
