Hi Helpful2013, Good to hear from you. Well, it’s going. Right now, it is “first in intention and last in execution.” Lol! All kidding aside. Because my topic is interdisciplinary (philosophy and economics) it is more complicated than I thought. But at the same time, it is an opportunity to make an interesting connection possibly not thought of. I think that’s the challenge: not knowing who else thought about your topic, and how can you be sure. Sure, you can review literature in your field but how can you really be sure? I asked an international scholar this question and he told me to grab on to that little thing and run with it. This, my friend, is the essence of doctoral study. Big lesson for me.
