I thought I would mine the minds on the board for some help.

My wife's looking for a straight Master's in Human Resources online.

Can anyone help? The only one we've seen so far is at Nova and she doesn't want to go there due to price.

    Thanks.

Straight master's? What does this include? MA? MBA? MCom? MEd? MHRM? MLS? MM? MPA? MPS? MS? MTech?

If you are looking at good value for your tuition dollar, Amberton is a great school. I am finishing up my MBA (only one class to go after the summer session) and I recommend them to friends and colleagues all the time. I am HR pro and have been very pleased with the content of the coursework and the professors. Most of the business profs have strong HR/OD backgrounds. It is not a cakewalk, by any means, but also not so grueling that she won't be able to complete assignments. I would describe it as 'just rigorous enough'. The price is right ($225/credit hour) and the school has a good reputation. It's no Duke or Wharton School of Business, but it's a great little program that has served my needs extremely well.

Best wishes to her as she makes this decision!

My wife finished her MSHRM (2005) at Troy University Online. She was pleased with the program and the tuition was about $10,000 for the entire degree. We went to the campus for graduation and it is impressive...football team and all, a real Brick and Mortar institution you can be proud of!

I certainly hope that we're not insinuating that MBAs are by definition gay, lesbian, bi, or transgendered.

Funny! When I said "straight" I should have said an HR degree that is not a merely a concentration component of an MBA program.

I do not discrimnate against a degree program based on race, gender, religious or sexual orientation.;)

Note the grinning Mr. Green on my post hereinabove. So, of course I was joking. I'm much relieved to hear that your definition of an MBA as "not straight" was not intended to imply that MBAs are GLBT, as I am an MBA and I am hetero.
