    Letting a majority run roughshod over the rights of minorities isn't a reasonable solution. The problem here is that there is no "will of the people". Some people think one thing, and others think something very different. Yes, Obamacare was passed by the legislature and signed by the executive, but you're still seeing this sort of resistance to it because so many people just don't want it. Now, you can argue they don't understand how great it is, or have been lied to, or whatever, but it's still government by "we have just enough votes, so screw you" rather than by consensus, so you have to expect people to push back when they're disregarded like that.

    Well, like Winston Churchill said, the best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.
