More American kids went hungry last year

I volunteer at the local animal shelter. The manager has a bumper sticker on her vehicle proclaiming: "Spay and neuter your pets (and all your crazy friends and relatives)!" Seems appropriate.

 

I dare not volunteer at an animal shelter considering I have adopted 7 unwanted cats (5) and dogs (2) since 2001. They are quite the characters!

 

I have adopted five cats since 2001 and three more cats were born to me by one of the strays I took in.

 

I work in property management and see abuses in the system everyday. Like anything else, you need to investigate the charity to get comfortable with how the food is distributed. Nothing is perfect, but not giving at all isn't the answer. That really hurts the people that need it the most. As far as spay and neutering for humans, I am ALL IN FAVOR of population control.
