After some regulatory delays, this has gone through for a whopping $69 billion! That's $25 more than what Elon Musk paid for Twitter ($44 billion, I recall). Microsoft's bet might be a good one, they're making cashflow with their X-Box and so many other products and services... I'm hoping Microsoft would provide more 'freebies' for their learning platforms and produce more freebie/cheap IT certs that are stackable. Keep dreaming. I dealt with Microsoft for ~ 30 years, from late 80s to 2018 when - in one day - I pitched everything I had that they'd made. OS's, languages, compilers, software - ALL of it. Don't think there's much hope of learning freebies - they make good money on those certs. They're industry-standard and valuable. And MS knows it. What would be their motivation to give them out free? To be nice guys? That's not in their wheelhouse. Why do you think they're commonly referred to as Micro$oft? How are you liking the subscription model? Instead of buying software - you pay forever.
