    The initial question raised was a "medical" one meaning using evidenced based research for medical uses! "Medical Marijuana Degree" so yes, my response was an accurate and legal one! By the way, cocaine is used for prescriptive purposes as well, that's why one needs to be licensed! If you don't like it, please move to another part of the world so we don't have to waste millions of tax dollars keeping you in prison until the laws change!

    Every drug has a toxicity level. That's why there is so much clinical research into the development of drugs for medical purposes. Cocaine in very small amounts is utilized by ENTsurgeons for local anesthesia and is a potent vasoconstrictor meaning it reduces bleeding! Perhaps there will be more medical uses clinically tried and tested in the future? Like I said before, I am interested in the current clinical trials of marijuana for controlling seizures. Are there other potential uses for these drugs besides recreational or religious? Absolutely! We still have a lot of discoveries to make!

    Do you mean because I don't want to use illicit drugs in the USA I should move elsewhere? Perhaps you are asking me to not post on this forum?

    Unfortunately, the use of illicit drugs is a sad fact that costs this country a fortune in more ways than one! Like I said before there certainly are "medical" uses.

    Perhaps this thread should be re-labeled "Legalizing illicit drugs in the USA"? Although not much relevance to college degree seekers!

    Neither, of course. I was simply illustrating absurdity by being absurd.

    More directly: One shouldn't have to leave the U.S. because of opposition to meddlesome laws against recreational drug use. The problem is not that it's expensive to put recreational drug users and drug addicts in a cage, the problem is that those people are put there in the first place.

    I agree, although while the use itself isn't wonderful, the side effects of prohibiting it are far more costly, both financially and in terms of people's liberty.

    ..and I was illustrating if you want to break the law perhaps you should go to a country where it is not against the law! How is that type of "liberty"absurd? Laws can certainly be changed! As I stated previously, one needs a degree as a medical doctor and a license to prescribe! Why is that so difficult to comprehend? I'm sure there are numerous efforts as we speak in regards to changing the laws but this is what we have now!

    We have a process in the USA for things like this...it begins with writing your congressman...not me! I also suggest you talk to all the families of the victims of those who exercised their liberty by driving under the influence of one substance or another!

    It seems to me the supreme law of the land not only wants to promote the general welfare but secure blessings of liberty! This appears to create a balancing act between welfare and liberty. For example, does one have the liberty to smoke tobacco? Yes! However, many States don't give one the liberty to smoke tobacco in closed areas as it affects the health (welfare) of those that inhale the secondary smoke.

    I swear the older I get the more laid back I get, I want everybody to be happy as long as there not hurting anyone. I just get so mad when a special interest controls something because they have some irrational fear.

    Should it bother someone that I smoke pot? Should it bother someone if a guy is gay? Should it bother someone if a church want to build a cross? No...

    I'm at such peace in my life I want everyone to be happy.

    Then go to Google Scholar, PubMed or CINAHL and do a review of the latest and greatest evidenced based literature rather than rely on second hand information posted on this forum by "ignorant" potheads! You're the one that aspires to a "Medical Marijuana Degree"! As for me, I look forward to the up and coming evidenced based discoveries of medical uses of cannabis. Who is the ignorant clown?
