It's prestigious (period). I worked at a Jesuit university for a while and still have a deep love for the Ignatius values.
People in Boston know about the Boston College Eagles, the sports teams of the school. BC is one of those schools that requires pretty high academic standards for their athletes. Grades, graduation rates, etc. Only locals know about the rare "Triple Eagle." This is a person who graduates from Boston College High School, Boston College and then Boston College Law School.
