Here's the definition of science that was taught to me in my first science class, which was in 1959 when I was 8 years old.

Science is systematically obtained knowledge gathered through careful observation and experimentation.

When more observation or experimentation is done then sometimes new knowledge is gained and old knowledge is discarded. That is basically how science works.

 

Progressives see him as a centrist Democrat, which he is. Buttigieg's work with McKinsey didn't help.

The bigger issue is that Black Americans roundly reject Buttigieg and I can't imagine he's done much as Secretary to repair that particular relationship. He would have been my second choice in 2020 though.
