Not only salaries are low but also some schools never raise their salaries. I started as online adjunct in 2001 with a salary 1,700 per course. Almost 20 years later the same school pays 1750 for the same course but now asks for continuing education credits, more students, more hours, etc. You would need to teach 40 classes a year to make a decent salary with no benefits and no job security.
