I keep getting a reminder that I have low disc space. What happens if I don't clean it up? I can't figure out how to do it. I'll have take my pc in to the shop I guess.
I get that all the time too. My laptop gets worried before it really needs to be. If I ignore the reminders, it gets more insistent and starts saying that memory is "critically low". That's when I rouse from my slumbers and do something. The risk is that your computer might start over-writing files that you want. So you might lose data. Just delete some big files. Or transfer them to a usb drive. I have lots of e-books, journal articles and whatnot on my laptop and they can reside on an external drive just as easily as on the computer. There should also be a memory management thing that will allow you to delete most of the crap that your browser saves, like web pages you've visited in the past. (It supposedly does that so that pages load faster.) You might lose cookies and saved passwords and useful stuff like that if you go too crazy with that. But nothing that will really hurt anything. That's my experience anyway.
Since you copied and pasted this verbatim from Abner, you could have just asked him. https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?threads/low-disc-space.51160/ Or, you could stop spamming. That would reduce your pc load tremendously.
