I understand that LaSalle University in Mandeville, LA has changed their name to Orion College, what's up with this. Also, How is LaCrosse University in Mandeville, LA doing and is it possible to get their web adress?
Neither "school" is very reputable. Orion has its roots as a diploma mill, now under new management. It is unique in that it received a great deal of notoriety in its heydey, including the arrest and conviction of its owner. Lacrosse seems to be one of those operations with an Internet presence and nothing else. Rich Douglas
The URL of LaCrosse is http://www.lacrosseuniversity.com/ Both Orion and LaCrosse are unaccredited. Why are you interested only in degree mills? There are many genuine degree programs that you can pursue. What degree progam do you have in mind? Ike Okonkwo
Oops. I meant "former owner" of Lasalle. The school has been under new management since 1997, but has not gotten anywhere with the DETC. Rich
Perhaps cookie is interested only in schools that begin with "La"? ------------------ Kristin Evenson Hirst DistanceLearn.About.com
These schools are relatively local to me, but thanks for the warnings, I will look elsewhere. Have heard some good things about Columbia Southern.
Or, perhaps only schools that begin with LA which are also located in LA! BA from LA-LA, May 2001 MA from LA-LA, August 2001 Ph.D. from LA-LA, January 2002 Russell
What sort of program are you looking for? Maybe we could suggest some viable options. Peace, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
