Hi all, I made a couple posts earlier in the credential creep thread before it got derailed , I figured I should make an introductory post as well I've been browsing distance education boards since 2007 (which is like forever in internet time). Though I can't remember when I first started coming here I know that reading some of the threads here have been enormously helpful in my academic advancement. I wanted to go back to school after years of doing computer maintenance and my search for accelerated learning programs lead to this site and many others. The information I have read on this site and many others has been extremely helpful. For example, I completed an AS at Excelsior College via CLEPs and DSSTs as many others on this site and InstantCert have. Also, after reading about the differences between regional, national, and professional accreditation I decided to follow my heart and enter a professionally accredited (by the AVMA and many others) veterinary program in New Zealand. Though I am not sure where I will practice, I am sure I will continue to browse this site since I am interested in furthering my studies after I graduate (University of London's MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology looks very interesting to me!). I may log on to make comments from time to time but I think I will be reading for the most part, I just thought I should post to thank you all for the very helpful information on these boards Thanks again!
