Because, sadly, many do. Axact sold at least 65,000 degrees to Americans. (I have an Excel spreadsheet with all the names, addresses, and degrees bought.) How many of those do you suppose will get away unharmed? At least 90%, I'd guess.

    He lists 5 degrees:
    1. Ph.D., major in Educational Administration (American International University – Honolulu, HI)

    2. Doctor of Jurisprudence - Albany Law School/ LaSalle University)

    3. M.Ed, major in Educational Leadership (Bridgewater St. Univ. – Bridgewater, MA)

    4. MBA, major in Business Management (Almeda Univ. – Boise, Idaho)

    5. LLB (Baccalaureate), major in Law and Government (San Pedro University, Honduras)
I can't find an American International University in Honolulu, is that an unaccredited school?. The article notes LaSalle University does not offer a JD. Almeda University is also unaccredited. So that leaves him with an LLB and an MEd, among other issues. He claims he taught as a Professor at Bridgewater but his name doesn't show up on the website.

I've noticed that people who write "Dr." everywhere are among the most likely to have an unrelated doctorate (e.g. someone with a PhD in History who becomes a Life Coach and decides to use their credentials to market), or to not have an accredited doctorate at all.
