Im 17 right now and have been looking for colleges for Computer Science. I want to be a Software Egineer when I get out of college, so I’m looking for a CS course that will help me improve on that. Anyways, I wanted to attend this school but I really can’t find many reviews for there CS degree, dose anyone here think it would be a good idea to go here? I live in Illinois, so I do know that Illinois Urbana-Champaign is the best for CS but I don’t think I can even be accepted cause I only have a 3.6 GPA and I have not taken the SAT yet.

Heck, study for that SAT and get 80th percentile or higher and I'll bet you get into Urbana-Champaign. As I tell my own kids and students, you don't have to even be an average candidate to get admitted, averages mean nothing, you just have to be the last person they admit and you're in just the same as the first person they admitted.

Meanwhile, over on the Off-Topics forum, there's a thread going about the fact that a number of major corporations are stating that you don't need a degree in order to become one of their employees. With that in mind it's hard to imagine that the minor distinctions between state programs will actually be meaningful to employers.
