I wonder what the Western world wants us to learn from the rise of idenity obsessions But I do think is getting impossible to feel unique and individual because of this People can't even use say a disability or a nationality to feel unique and individual anymore I am not really trying to make this more metaphysical than what it really is, but I beg to wonder what society's increasing obsession with collectivism tells us.
Don't fool yourself into thinking that you're the only one who has had such thoughts. It's been happening for thousands of years. https://www.coursera.org/browse/arts-and-humanities/philosophy
Oh I know, but I feel like the cycle of identity obsessions is back to stage 1.5 How do we value people more individually again anyways?
