I read recently that the Imani Institute of the Gambia will soon be entering into an affiliation with Bienville University. According to the AllAfrica.com article the Imani institute is accredited by the Institute for the management of Information system (IMIS), Association of Business executive (ABE) http://www.abeuk.com, and the Association of Certified Chatered Accountants (ACCA). Anybody know anything about these accrediting bodies, or indeed Bienville's current situation. Last I heard they had been evicted from Louisana and were now operating out of Mississippi... Cheers, Nick
Wonderful.....we can now look forward to advertising in which Bienville claims "full accreditation" from Gambia, a la Columbia Pacific/Columbia Commonwealth & Malawi. Bruce
Not necessarily. The Department of State for Education of The Gambia maintains a thorough website, including mysterious pictures of the "Big Bang," as well as a list of accredited (ministerial purview or presidential purview) tertiary institutions: http://www.edugambia.gm/schools_of_the_gambia/schools_of_the_gambia.html WAWA!
