I received the graduate study catalog from Clarion University in the mail today. I noticed that one of the requirements of the program is a one-week campus visit for one of the courses, but it can be done over the summer. That's not a deal-breaker for me, and I can probably swing that. I just wanted to make others aware that a campus visit is part of the deal.

Not to bump a 3 month old post, but I've been looking into the Clarion Part-time (100% online) MBA program.

There was some talk of the GMAT in the earlier posts, so for the sake of anyone else who searches Clarion and comes up to this post, I'll post what they are saying on the topic (at least for the MBA.)

"A minimum total score of 400 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Applicants with advanced professional degrees or five or more years of work experience may submit a formal request to waive the GMAT requirement. Please contact the MBA program director for more information on the GMAT exemption."

I plan to seek such an exemption as I seem to qualify.

I have to agree, as an Erie native, I had a lot of friends go there and had nothing but great things to say about the school. It also enjoys a nice rep around the PA region.

Just e-mailed them regarding a GMAT waiver. Hopefully they'll grant it as it will save me time and a few hundred $.

Just re-did the math on this thing, as a state resident, I think I can get the MBA for UNDER $10K from a school with a great reputation. Plus there's an overseas study trip option that runs $3-5K that I might do too as I work in international business.

You out-of-staters - their site say that tuition is only 2% higher for non-PA residences, so this could be a great deal for all on an AACSB accredited MBA.

Only drawback I can see is that it's not accelerated, so it'll take 2 1/2 years but I can certainly live with that given the end result.

This continues to sound like a great find, a sort of diamond in the rough.

Clarion sounds like a good candidate for school of the week. :)
