Whenever I have to fill out something that I know will result in my name being sold to mailing lists all over the country, I mispell my last name. Then, when I get mail, and I see the mispelled last name, I know it's junk, and just toss it.

This had more of an impact when I had my mail forwarded once a month from a mailing place when I was travelling. After paying an obscene amount of postage to have ten pounds of mail sent to me in Japan from San Diego, and upon realizing most of it was junk mail, I was able to tell the manager to discard all my mail with the mispelling, and to send me the rest. The cost of postage fell dramatically.

No credentials...yet, but I completely aced all my semester final exams for USQ!

 

Actually an interesting story (The long version was previously posted). Short version: UND is where I started my higher ed. career 23 yrs. ago. I didn't finish there but went on to Excelsior instead. So this spring I contacted the University about completing my UND degree (I had 125 credits but at the time no foreign language which was required). After some checking I heard back from the University and they said, "What name would you like on your diploma?" My previous credits were enough, the foreign language component was not required, and I received a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in physics and philosophy. After 23 yrs. it was a great gesture on the part of the University.

Although I have no itention of catching up to Dennis Huber I am finishing up my last course for a Master of Astronomy degree from the University of Western Sydney which should be done by December.

Well, in case you get the itch for yet another advanced degree, I'm sure you've heard that, in collaboration with NASA, UND will be offering an online PhD in Space Studies in the not-too-distant future. Then again, perhaps it was you who already announced this here.

Who almost daily sets foot on the University of North Dakota campus--not to study, but to frequent the coffee shop--who also will be cheering loudly this Saturday when UND's football team, now the number 1 ranked team in NCAA Division II, plays Cal-Davis in the national semi-finals!

 

The Ph.D. in space studies was announced awhile back. I may have mentioned it at one time but someone else had announced it prior. It should be an interesting program. UWS is still looking into an internet based doctorate in astronomy. There is strong support by the existing faculty and student body from the masters program. Upper level administration have been very mum about about the whole thing.

Glad to hear the UND is doing well in football this year. Awhile back those NDSU Bison were hard to beat. Go Sioux!

That should read: Electronic Technician's Diploma, DeVRY Institute of technology.

 

If this was really your goal then why even bother to state up front that you're going to conceal such harmless information? The only reasonable explanations that I came up with is that either you're a troll or a fraud. So what are you a troll or a fraud or both.

Just an effort at several objectives:

1) To see how easy it is to trace one's posts. After a little detective work by the resident officer, Bruce, I found that it was quite easy.

2) To inject a little anonymous humor, and it was well worth the effort. The DegreeInfo gang is a delightful group of posters.

Now, let us move forward in the war against DL BIAS.

I have been away for several days, and much to my surprise, returned to find this thread still alive. (I only keep my profile set to pick up the previous two days of posts.)

As many people know, I have always stood against censorship. But in the case of this thread, I would more than support the installation of the proverbial padlock. And in the case of Maybelle, I would more than support the installation of the proverbial chastity belt. He (and I still believe it's a guy) is being just as useless, just as obnoxious, and just as much an idiot as ever.

I am now going back on vacation.

Sorry to hear that you have no qualifications maybelle, which sadly is the truth.

 

I would like to suggest that this thread be moved to the "off topic" forum. It has nothing to do with distance education and is simply idle bantering with a troll.
