A 2023 paper published in Regenerative Therapy decries the lack of treatments available for tooth regrowth, but highlights how the anti-USAG-1 antibody treatment in mice could offer “a breakthrough in treating tooth anomalies in humans.”

“The idea of growing new teeth is every dentist’s dream. I’ve been working on this since I was a graduate student. I was confident I’d be able to make it happen,” Katsu Takahashi, lead researcher and head of the dentistry and oral surgery department at the Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital in Osaka, told Mainichi. “We’re hoping to see a time when tooth regrowth medicine is a third choice alongside dentures and implants.”

Very interesting. Will the AMA,ADA etc allow this to be used ? After all, it could restrict the income of dentists. Dentists may resist this or charge large fees.
I know people who can use it now.

They've been talking about people regrowing teeth for 20+ years. Still waiting.

I think this is still 10yr+ out, but I do hope it comes on the market. I have know many people who would really be helped by this.

Or they could just wear dentures or get implants :D

Alas, dentures are pretty unsatisfactory for general eating and implants aren't always possible.

And once your teeth go, your jawbone can start to dissolve. So you may not even be able to use dentures (for long). The human body is weird.

Why would someone want to regrow their hand when they could just use a hook?

One of my friends actually paid out of pocket for dentures because the insurance wouldn't cover them. She's in her mid-forties but she was out on the streets for years starting at a young age. She picked up the dentures, which were terrible, and she ended up throwing them in the trash on the way out. The way she described it she said they looked like horses' teeth.

In 2020 I took my father-in-law who absolutely hated his dentures to a reputable dentist, whom I been seeing sine 2005. He solved the issue with couple of implants.
We did this as his birthday present from us, the family members participated in expenses.
