Lady, take several seats! I thanked the person for educating me on the fact that Sitting Bull College was named after a Native American chief. It doesn't change the fact that I do not like the name of the college, just as much as I don't like the name of some colleges regardless of their origins. I am entitled to my preferences and have the right to express my opinion. How is that laughing at one's culture?! BTW, you don't get to tell me what I need to learn. I know more about the United States than many born Americans do. I am not sorry to disappoint you that I don't live up to your stereotypical expectations of a Black Jamaican. Even though you claim that my ancestors were forced to adopt European culture and language, know that Jamaica, like much of the Caribbean, has its own language derived from Twi in Africa, and our African customs and traditions. You should be more worried about your lack of African identity as a Black person in America. That said, I will NOT apologize for my opinion. You can put that in your pipe and smoke it!
