Great, now people are botting for this title. Means my efforts of actually working for it were in vain.
Welcome to the board first and foremost. Secondly, I have just started the doctoral program myself. Two final thoughts while pursuing your degree. 1) When a person is taught how to fish for a day it only feeds his family for a day however when a person is taught how to manage a fishing boat operation he can feed his family for a life time and make revenue while doing it. 2) A mentor who I had during my Master's program made a perfect analogy as he stated the difference between a leader and a teacher. The difference is a business leader views issues as business problems whereas a teacher views issues as a student who needs knowledge and answers. I don't claim to have all the answers however I think I'm headed in the right direction as I am going towards a profession of helping others. For what it's worth, I've wanted to give up more than once with writing this dissertation but I keep at it because I know what it's going to give me and I'm not referring to the degree or the prestige. I am referring to having the knowledge of knowing that I can do it then having the capability of helping others. I wish you well in pursuit of your own passion. Best Regards, S. Elvins, MBABA, BSMIS
