Happy (belated) Birthday, John.

My best to you and Marina.

 

My very wonderful birthday present from Marina was that she was able to leave the house for the first time in the three months since her 17 hours of spinal fusion surgery in December, for a dinner out. Still much pain; still a long way to go; but good progress. Still getting used to the fact that after spine straightening, she is more than five inches taller than she was in December.

John: That's funny. Our 6-year-old grandson Nikoli saw her for the first time in months today. He bent his head all the way back (he can be just a bit sarcastic) and said, "Tooooooo tall!"
