It's a very nice (expensive) liberal arts school in Western Massachusetts. Well, they're not closing, but they may not be enrolling anyone either. They've got some money in the bank but they're seeking a "strategic partnership." Excelsior College is technically a “Small Private College”, structured much different than the small private colleges in examples and others. Where are the risks for EC?

It's a beautiful little school and not easy to get into. It's waaay too expensive for my tastes but the kids who go there tend to be "wicked smaht" even if they also tend to be wicked liberal. My hope is that this school finds a way to survive. They're good at what they do, they just need to get better at some stuff that they've never had to do before.
