Hamas attack on Israel and other terrorists attacks on Israel, on Oct 7th, 2023 was killed by IDF.
Whith him his deputy and another Hamas terrorist.

Elimination of Sinwar creates an opportunity for the US admin and Israel to achieve a ceasefire and hostage release, possibly prior to US elections.

Congrats to Israel on a big win!

I hope that Israel can take advantage of this opportunity to get the hostages released, declare victory, and stop the fighting in Gaza. There will be no better opportunity to declare victory than this now!

This can be a major opportunity to stop the war, and release hostages.
Work on all the needed security arrangements, that may include Israeli control of Philadelphia corridor.
Too many sacrifices were made in order to get to this point, it shouldn't be for nothing.
While some obstacles removed, Hamas is there, and will do all it can to rearm and terrorize all around, with the help of Iran.
Real victory is when all people in South Israel and Gaza live in peace and no longer terrorized.
Same for Lebanon, Israels superiority over Hezbollah should be used for a diplomatic deal with real security arrangements, not just one on paper.

This is, of course, all true. Israel has said that they aren't interested in occupying Gaza. If that is true then Hamas will still be there when Israel leaves even if the IDF stayed another year. True there has been many sacrifices to get to this point. As a practical matter, Gaza has been decimated. It will take many many years to rebuild Gaza. The greatest sacrifices have been paid by the Palestinians. But a main goal for Israel has been achieved which is that Netanyahu is still in power a year later.

The main goal for Israel is security for all its citizens.

Of course, that's the main goal. A main goal for Israel though (at least for Netanyahu) is for Netanyahu to stay in power for as long as possible.

Great. Israel will stop killing Palestinians now, right?

Wars in the Middle East last hundreds of years.
Gaza is just a drop in the sea.
But if Palestnians stop killing Israelis, and release the hostages than Israelis will have no reason to fight Palestinians.

    Aljir
    Syria
    Iran, Iraq
    Yemen
Just in these wars million people died.
Arabs, Muslims, Non Arabs all kill each other.
Are you concern about those killings as well?
    Or only Israel?
Israel will do what ever they need to survive.
The ball is on Palestinian side.
If they increase what they call resistance than there will be more killings on all sides of conflict.

The overwhelming majority of people being killed in this conflict, especially in recent months, have been Palestinian people killed by the IDF.

On Oct 7th monstrous attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists and Gaza civilians who flodded in to Israel withe terrorists, many killings and rapes were commited by Gazans who are called"civilians".
As was told before, Israel is not deliberately targeting civilians, nor it's a policy.
Most civilians that got hurt are used by Hamas as human shields.
    Basically Hamas sacrificed them.
As long as Palestinians will be attacking Israel, the war will continue.
Release hostages and capitulate, no more people will die.
Israelis die at work and it's very painful for them, they don't want war but forced to fight it.

The IDF has killed over 40k people and displaced millions. Early in the conflict, Hamas was in talks and ready to give hostages over, but Netanyahu said no.

Plus, there's almost 2 million Palestinians in Gaza that have to live like rats right now.

at least 306,887 civilians had been killed in Syria since 2011.
    Arabs killing Arabs.
Hezbollah Iran's proxy helped alot in those killings.

    Bill,
    Hamas brought that upon them.
I'm sure they are not dancing like they did on Oct 7th.
Tragic outcome of war they initiated.
And Iran is doing the same to Lebanon.

Hamas terrorists and Gaza civilians, when they massacred Israeli civilians, also made sure to cruelly abuse the corpses and document everything. The soldiers of the IDF, even after eliminating the greatest enemy, took care to preserve even the honor of Satan's corpse. This is the difference between Israel and Hamas, it is also the victory of Israeli values!

A year after the October 7 massacre, the Middle East is changing.
The disaster created a historic opportunity to change the map of threats to Israel and the entire region.
Without significant damage to the Iranian core, the opportunity will be missed and Israel and the entire region will continue to live in the shadow of the threat of the Shiite cancer from Tehran. Israel is almost the only country in the world that has a concrete and declared threat of annihilation.
The Iranians who want to destroy Israel even placed a clock in the center of Tehran counting down the time until its destruction.
The Iranians are not content with statements. In recent decades, they have been working determinedly to promote Israel's destruction project and their takeover of the Middle East in an intensive and determined manner through two channels: the establishment of proxy militias within Israel's borders and throughout the Middle East and striving for a nuclear bomb.

Israel finds itself once again fighting the war of the Middle East and the Western world and of course its own war, against the Iranian cancer.
The current strategic juncture could prove to be the last chance to rebuild the balance of power in the Middle East.
If Israel under US pressure gives up the possibility of delaying the Iranian bomb, within a few years it will find itself, as well as the entire region, with empowered Iranian militias, backed by a nuclear Iran.
This is an existential risk for Israel but also the potential for a nuclear arms race in one of the unstable regions The most in the world.
Hitting the Iranian nuclear is the only military action that can have a positive effect on the stability and prosperity of the Middle East for years to come.

Hamas was not ready to give hostages, this is incorrect. They tricked the west by pretending to agree, while making impossible demands.
Hamas wanted Israels full withdrawal and had other unrealistic demands, but it caused the opposite.
The Palestinians under Hamas leadership lost the piece of sovereignty given to them by Israel when they forced Israel to reoccupy the Gaza Strip.

    Israeli Arabs of Druze faith.
    Brothers in arms.

Daliyat al-Karmel mayor Rafik Halabi says his Arab Druze town is “wearing black” after the death of Col. Ehsan Daqsa, the commander of the IDF’s 401st Armored Brigade.

“With sorrow, pain, and much grief, Daliyat al-Karmel, the IDF, the Druze community and the State of Israel say goodbye to one of its heroes,” Halabi writes in a post on X.

“A hero, a brave, humble fighter who became a legend, who fought since the beginning of the war.”

He was decorated after Lebanon 2nd war, for rescuing wounded soldiers under heavy fire.

Israeli Druze or Druze Israelis are an ethnoreligious minority among the Arab citizens of Israel. They maintain Arabic language and culture and are most loyal Arab minority in Israwl, they sacrificed many lives in defense of the state of Israel.

Of course, Hamas brought this on themselves. Who the hell is in control now? According to your post, Israel is still under the control of Hamas and will be under their control for the foreseeable future. I don't buy that. Neither does the most of the rest of the folks in this world. Israel could chose to agree to a ceasefire and bring the hostages home. If in the future (I'm sure very distant future) Hamas and Gaza became a threat again then Israel could deal with them at that point. As you yourself has mentioned countless times, the true evil antagonist here is Iran not Hamas.
