I found the Princeton Review's Cracking the GRE to be very good, both for the subject exams I'd taken earlier, and for the general GRE which I took a couple of years ago.

    Peace,

    Matt

My son's friend recently took the GRE after many years of not being in college and not taking any Math classes. This is what helped him make a decent score

    Books for his Math refresher:

    1. CliffsNotes Math Review for Standardized Tests

    2. The Ultimate Math Refresher for GRE, GMAT and SAT

Books and Flash cards to practice for the exam

    1. GRE Big Book: Practicing to Take the GRE General Test (This is out of print but you can still find someone selling it used on the Net)

    2. Barrons Essential Words for the GRE ( out of stock in most places now since they have a new edition coming out in July but you can still find some copies new and used on the net)

    3. Kaplan GRE Exam Vocabulary Flash cards

    Hope this helps you.

Another book that he used for Math Refresher was:

Math Smart - Getting a Grip on Basic Math

(Also out of print but you can buy one used on the Net.)
