Hello, I would like to easily find a job around the world and have not decided on a graduate degree yet. I will have an undergraduate bachelor in psycholody. My interests are medical, healths, rehabilitation, psychology. Chances are big that I will have to do most online and not be able to attend a university for classes. So, I think I can forget the medical field. I'm not sure though. That's why I ask here, what would be good choices for me. I really would like a Master's degree, but don't like business or IT or others .... I would like to be around people and help out people. Thank you for answering my difficult question.
Have you considered an MPH or MS in Public Health? There seems to be a demand worldwide for public health professionals and the field is closely related to health care although it isn't normally in direct care.
The only healthcare related jobs that will give you the ability to easily find a job worldwide are related to direct patient care. Most other jobs can be filled with locals, or there will be so much competition from other international candidates that it will make obtaining a worthwhile position almost impossible, unless your CV has Harvard on it, instead of Excelsior. Face it, everyone wants to travel, but no one wants to get dirty. The best way to move internationally is to start with a multinational, and volunteer for international assignments.
I'm not sure what the demand is internationally, but if you're interested in a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling via distance learning, look into these schools. University of Arkansas Little Rock www.ualr.edu Auburn University www.auburn.edu University of Maine System www.learn.maine.edu Mississippi State University www.msstate.edu San Diego State University www.sdsu.edu Utah State University www.usu.edu University of Wisconsin Stout www.uwstout.edu Wright State University www.wright.edu
Rehabilitation. Thank you! I obviously still don't know about all my options (which is the cause of my discouragment sometimes). The rehab counseling sounds interesting and maybe there's more out there likewise. I would like to know what is meant by MS and MPH so that I can look into it and answer that question. Thank you again, because through this board I learn a lot more about the possibilities that are out there.
Thank you. I've been checking it all out and the counseling seems interesting. I suppose it's pretty hard to find anything that would be more 'practical oriented'. I would like to really put my hands on people (for ex. to rehabilitate, such as a physical therapist), not a nurse though. However, to find distant learning in such area is difficult. I guess I have to reconsider my path if I cannot attend a university itself. However, the counseling Rehabilitation is an option I like and I didn't know about, so I do learn from you guys. Thank you
