I only need 58 million dollars https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-nasa-international-space-station-visitors-20190607-story.html
Take heart, Kizmet. Even if you can't afford a stay at the new most-exclusive-hotel-(not)on-Earth... Kizmet in her new luxury suite (air is provided.... but gravity is extra): ...She can still buy a Boston Dynamics Spot robot. It was just announced today that they will be available for purchase. https://gizmodo.com/boston-dynamics-wants-to-sell-you-a-piece-of-the-impend-1825970644 Prices apparently haven't been announced yet, but they probably aren't cheap. It won't lick you (at least I hope not) but you only need to feed it electrons.
I don't need one, since I already have one... in my nightmares. (Sorry, but those things are creepy.)
If you buy the model with the robot arm, remember that it knows how to open doors. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--wIo9K0J3--/c_scale,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/uiyrcqu1owebppctckww.mp4 Actually, I think that these things might be useful to firemen, hazmat and explosive ordinance teams and police who have to enter and reconnoiter dangerous and risky places where they might not want to send human beings. The Spot robo-dogs are agile and can carry a whole suite of sensors along with their arms. I think that their creepiness comes from how they move like animals. I'm sure that's intentional. Some 500 million years of evolution have made animals very good at finding their way through complex terrain. So Boston Dynamics evidently thought "why reinvent the wheel"?
