One of the most ridiculous things I saw in the media sensationalism over the student loan debt crisis is a guy who had a free ride to a state school or a little private school, but he decided to go $100k in debt to earn a humanities degree at NYU. After that, he couldn't find a good-paying job. Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? I don't. But, these are the outlier stories people are referring to when they say, "Don't go to college unless you're majoring in STEM because you'll go $100k in debt and end up driving a taxi."

Before considering college would be determine high paying job major. There is no reason to make $30,000.00 per year with a degree costs $150,000.00 The chance for return in investment would be absolutely negative amount of money and time. Always try to complete general education from a low cost schools and transfer to prestigious schools.
