Makes me wonder if the candidates get in the position, find out the university is in a death spiral and bail.
I dunno. I think that's unlikely because all three leaders mentioned were from within the university and previous to their leading position, held quite prominent posts there. Surely they knew a fair bit about the university's affairs. But -- possibly they were over-optimistic on prospects of getting things fixed, and then wanted out. "Turmoil takes its toll."
And I wish every success to Dr. Tracy M. Cook, Alcorn's new President. He has been at Alcorn State U. since 2015, serving as vice president for student affairs and enrolment management. His Doctorate, earned at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS is in Educational Leadership.
