Forget Wi-Fi

I have seen one aspect of the future, and it works pretty well.

Spending ten days in Ventura, CA, a burg with over 100,000 people, and free very-high-speed wi fi everywhere in the city limits and a fur piece beyond. So I don't have to buy a $4 latte at Starbucks to get online. Funded by the parking meters (which are all solar). I could grow used to this.
