ESPN Pulls Dead 210 year-old Confederate General from College Football Broadcast

    He should just change his name to something way less offensive like, Robert Mugabe.

    Here are images of him side by side.

    CNN has received what it says is an internal memo from the ESPN President to his troops. The first sentence below is the last sentence in one paragraph, the second is the first sentence in the very next paragraph. Notice how the second sentence directly contradicts the sentence immediately above it.

    "...There was never any concern - by anyone, at any level -- the Robert Lee's name would offend anyone watching the Charlottesville game.

    Among our Charlotte production staff there was a question as to whether - in these divisive times -- Robert's assignment might create a distraction, or even worse, expose him to social hectoring or trolling,.."

    Robert Lee has apparently been reassigned to call the Youngstown State/U. Pittsburgh game. Apparently it doesn't matter whether a Confederate General calls that one.
