It'll be interesting to see what happens next.
Leta Hollingsworth's longitudinal studies of very high IQ children suggest that they kind of slow down as they age, and rarely have impressive jobs.
The previous record holder, Mike Kearney, got his high school diploma at 6, AA at 8, BA at 10, first MS (chemistry) at 14, second MS (computer science) at 18, and PhD at 22. He taught for a while, but as best I can figure out, he's doing improv theater in Nashville. (He also won over $1 million on TV game shows.)

More impressive would be parents who kept his success private.

Sounds like used his brain to make a lot of money and now he does whatever he thinks is fun. Good for him!
