    Hi

...so "they" stuck him where he can do WAY MORE damage than even he can inflict on a single classroom! BRILLIANT! "They" are as culpable as HE is!

    More Youtube ....

    Hi

    Hope this helps.

Funny... after using it successfully for a while, I had the same troubles Matt had with Youtubecatcher, which I suggested earlier. And yesterday, Keepvid, which Scaredrain suggested (and I have used previously) would not download a .flv file for me either. Maybe it will today - I don't know.

I turned to www.savevid.com and got my files. (The procedure seems to be the same with all these sites.) Guitar files are what I save, mostly. I've had to abandon a few oft-used sites recently, starting with downloadyoutubevideos.com. I've also noticed a couple of other download sites that CLAIM Youtube "shut them down."

I think (no proof) what MAY be happening is: Youtube may be changing its caching/storage procedures occasionally and that may mean some download sites suddenly "can't find" your file. Hence, some sites appear to go out of commission until they catch up - and some might give up trying.

I agree with Scaredrain - VLC media player is the greatest! I have an old version running on my ancient 1998 laptop and a much newer one on my P4 desktop.

    Best freebie out there!

A simple solution is to use an extension for Mozilla Firefox called Video DownloadHelper. I have tested this extension and found it works very well. You could store the videos on a CD or DVD or USB hard disk and take that into the school and if necessary have the system administrator copy the video files onto the network server.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

This program works great! And... the quality is very good.

You have solved my issue of not being able to show video clips, and best of all, I can save them for next year.

    Thanks from me, too!

    Hi

Let me add my thanks to Sentinel, too! The suggestion works MUCH better for me than the ups-and-downs of the sites I've used in the past.

    Great help! :)
