Hey, I am currently at RBS-Newark, and choose MIS as my major. However I have recently thinking of doing double major in leadership and Management . Is it good idea or is there any other major which goes well with MIS (other than Accounting), ex. Finance, SCM, or Marketing?

I'm sorry that it's not a direct answer but the degree you pursue should depend on your career goals. Degrees push you toward particular career paths and it's hard to advise you on a program without knowing your goals. Your own examples are a good enough illustration. Finance and Marketing a really quite divergent. Why would you earn a Marketing degree unless you want a Marketing career?

Leadership and management can go with anything. mis and finance are good fit, but if mis is your core then it may be best to go with the softer skills of leadership and management.

My vote would be for accounting, which you've already excluded, followed by SCM. There is high demand for individuals with both of these combinations of majors. SCM is technical, and highly technology-dependent.

I've never been a fan of "management" or "leadership" degrees at the undergraduate level except as a general business degree. Think about it, there's no "management" or "leadership" department in a corporation to place entry-level hires. While you can be hired into a management training program, more often than not they either don't care about undergraduate major (sociology works) or they'll take a business degree with any major.

I'm a firm believer that "management" or "leadership" degrees make more sense at the graduate level after one has obtained a few years of post-baccalaureate work experience.
