Oh, that's so true, about wanting to prove you can do it. That's what compelled me to finish my bachelor's degree at the ripe age of 44 -- to be a good role model for my adolescent daughter. Then we all flew to U of Oklahoma for the graduation, which I wanted her to see also. She was definitely impressed, heh heh. I sure didn't "need" a degree because I was doing well in my chosen career. I wanted the degree for personal growth.

I had a boss at my last company who had just finished his MBA and said it was way too much work. Yeah, duh! He told me that toward the end he was just trying to get by in his classes and work so he could be done with it. Did you experience such a thing?

Really, I can't imagine finishing an MBA, knowing how much work is involved, start to finish! Did you do a case study for a final project, comprehensive exams, what?

Well, I will admit working full time and doing the MBA was not easy, but like you say, that is to be expected. There were times when I worked on my capstone until 3am, only to wake up to go to work at 6:30am. Easy? No. Worth it? Yes.

I did a capstone case study entitled: Exploring Higher Education Quality/Cost Ratios in US Markets: A Case Study

It ended up being 50 pages. There were times when I wanted to give, but the pitbull in me said NO!!!!!

I also had to take a comprehesive 4 hour exam before going on to the capstone.

    Have a good one!
