    Hi Bill,
Congratulations! I've been away from this forum for a while but it certainly is good to hear that you've completed your doctorate.

Does Unizul require you to publish an abstract or short article based on your dissertation? UNISA requires all doctoral candidates to publish (in a journal or online) an article based on the findings of one's dissertation.

    regards,

    Thanks Roy.

Unizul does require a 500 word abstract as part of the submitted dissertation. But I believe the school does not require, as a part of the dissertational process, any sort of publication of part of it or of papers based on it. Loubser, the Dean, on the faculty website, does encourage , however, that doc grads produce published or otherwise shared results based on their theses in varied venues. I hope to do that as I'm very interested in my subject , and, believe it or not :) , I'm not shy about sharing my thoughts on it.

The academic co ordinator of a seminary in Northern Calif is allowing me to speak to his Theology students for three and a half hours in Feb on topics related to the Unizul work. Also, I am going to try to present a paper based on my research to the next annual meeting of the NW section of the Evangelical Theological Society. As I imagine there is much competition to do the latter, I may not get that chance. But I have "placed my name in the hat."

At this point , were Unizul OK with my doing it, as soon as corrections are done in about two weeks, I think I would be happy to put the entire dissertation on the web if I knew a good place and a good method to do that. I have been privately asked here about the Unizul Faculty of Theology and Religion expectations for doc work , and making my product available might help to answer some questions related to such issues. Additionally, doing that would allow me to share the dissertation with friends without my mailing it to them. Hard copies with even spiral plastic binding and mailing costs are not inexpensive. So, yes, I think I would like to do that!

    Thanks again,

Thanks Bruce. As I said, I owe a debt to good friends here for guidance in locating and encouragement in completing a DL program that met my needs. On the Acknowledgements page of the dissertation I mention the help DI provided.
