    Hello friends,

does Excelsior college accept DETC credits from Columbia Southern University? Will they accept a DETC Bachelors degree to continue on to their Masters programs?

    Thank you,

    AST

Last year, Excelsior accepted 9 graduate credits in transfer from Aspen University (DETC).

I would contact them directly to ask about acceptance of a DETC bachelors degree.

Questions best asked of Excelsior, certainly.

From their website, they will consider it: "In accordance with Excelsior College policies and procedures, students may appeal for consideration of degree-level credit from non-regionally accredited schools by Excelsior College faculty."

If the school in question has courses that have been evaluated for credit recommendation by ACE, then yes.

Also this: "Excelsior College reviews credit from degree-granting non-regionally accredited institutions to determine if those credits will transfer. These institutions must be approved by the U.S. Department of Education and hold either professional or national accreditation, as verified by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)."

Call their admissions office at 888-647-2388, ext. 27

Beware, I don't know about Excelsior but some universiities don't accept credits used from DETC universiites for undegraduate. For example I know UIS would not allow you to enroll for their MS , if you have used DETC credits for undegraduate.

    Depends on programs.

For EET they require that credit be from ABET accredited programs.
For Business also AACSB accredited or comparable.
