Hi Rich. Thanks for the clarification--and I will try to be less opaque!

In sum, can there be a "nice" source of disinformation about distance learning and of disinformation about anything and anybody telling the truth on this board--journeys by distinguished and respected missionaries into the heart of darkness notwithstanding?

    No.

Oh, I agree. The objection I always get is the tenor of my comments. Seldom am I beaten over the head with the truth; I usually get that right. So the mill shills switch and say I'm not nice.

I was going to check to see if they could stick to the facts, but the players present provide some doubt. And their pre-emptive attacks on me (see Wes Cox's disgusting commentary as an example) seemed to already point elsewhere.

The thread has been pulled. I think we see all we need to know.

    No worrie mate

No problem, you and I can argue here ;-) .... ! and gus as well after we have had our offline chat. One problem with cyber conversations is apart from very few of us, we really don't know each other at all - in real life it possibly would be very different.

Communication has taken a real turn with groups and emails. In Dickens' day there were 10 mail deliveries a day in London and people could never envisage that changing. Along came the phone - the end of meaningful communication was predicted, and of course we know the outcome of that.

Electronic communication has added an unthoughtof dimension - that of the adoption of a very informal mode when that may not be the normal communication style of the writer. We will be critical and worse of people we have never met, yet in real life are something completely different and most polite ... and of course facial expressions really don't carry here do they?

So let us move on, here ...
