Re: Re: Re: another davis joke All of this is eerily reminiscent of Garrison Keillor's description of the mythological town of Lake Woebegon. "It is a place where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average."
How in the world did we ever re-elect the worst governor in the history of Calfornia? Anyone with a pulse should have been able to beat Gray Davis. Perhaps that was Simon's problem. Tony (the other one)
Re: C'mon Bruce, be realistic Ah, Cambridge....the first local government to pass an ordinance banning the possession or transport of nuclear weapons. I'm sure the U.S. Armed Forces have paid close attention. Speaking of politics, I am sooooo glad that we have Mitt Romney as Governor. Even though we're both on his theoretical chopping block (police & social worker), now that the Legislature has given him extra budgetary powers, I'm confident he'll go after the pork & waste and leave the essential services alone. Re: Re: C'mon Bruce, be realistic I really like Mitt Romney. His work with the Olympics shows his ability to take institutions in trouble and provide sound and effective leadership to help bring them to success. We desperately need such leadership here in California, since we are an institution that is in deep trouble (finances, schools, etc.) Tony Piña School of Education, La Sierra University & School of Education, Cal State U.
