Gams007's post on South Texas College inspired me to search for more schools offering a tuition-free semester.

University of St. Thomas is offering free tuition for Fall 2021 for its online associate's degree programs. Click on the program of interest for more details.

Trident Technical College is offering free tuition this fall to South Carolina residents. Out-of-state residents will receive a fee reduction down to the out-of-county rate.

Buy one, get one free or buy two, get two free at Lamar State College - Port Arthur.

There were a few other schools offering a free semester, but the application deadlines passed. I also found schools that are offering free tuition to in-state or in-county residents only, local students facing hardships, and one that is offering online courses temporarily, but it wasn't clear if applicants had to follow on-campus admissions procedures. Here are more details if you want to check it out.

Clinton College is a TRACS-accredited HBCU. The entire 2021-2022 school year is tuition-free, and full-time students will also receive a free Surface Pro Laptop.

Clinton College apparently gives students a free Surface or Surface Pro laptop was well. I can't tell if any degree programs they offer are fully online. One of their pages lists a required in-person intro section.
