http://www.counterfeitlibrary.com/cl/qual.asp I took a stroll down the seedy path this evening and found links to Degree.net, and 3 covers of Dr. Bear's books portayed as sponsor of their site. I am certain that degree.net would never sponsor a site whose primary goal is to assist others in obtaining fake ID's and diplomas. I wonder if they are violating copyright by showing the actual cover art of the John's books... Anyone know? By the way - when you mouse-hover over the pictures of Dr. Bears books - read the pop-up tip (sponser is spelled sponsor..) - I guess I shouldn't expect too much in the way of correct spelling.

How very distressing. I know that my publisher (to whom I have forwarded uxu's post) believes covers can be protected -- because for my book The #1 New York Times Bestseller*, they felt it was essential to get permission from every publisher of the several hundred covers of books depicted. So I hope they'll pursue this interloper. __________ * That's the title.A book about the 500 books that were #1 bestsellers in the first 50 years of the Times list.
I think that this is old news. I vaguely remember someone bringing it up this summer, and Justin (or somebody) saying, either on here or in private email, that Ten Speed was pursuing it. I guess it got "back burnered".
