If you have advice/suggestions please lay them on me! My undergrad degree is in Psych/English but that doesn't help for teaching. My graduate degree is an Masters in Education from UOP. I taught a few years in the classroom teaching English. Then I did some contract work for the Child Protective Services doing home studies etc. They cut our contract so now I'm back to square one. I want something part time. I seem to be only qualified to teach Education classes since that's where my grad credits come from. I've recently applied at the local community college and I wondered if there is anyplace online I could apply. I see the stickys above but wonder if they are still up to date. Any ideas?
You may have more immediate success if you focus on community colleges. Regardless of that, there are very few new colleges around and so it doesn't really matter if the threads are old or new. The list of schools is the list of schools. They are either hiring or they are not. I'd suggest a mass mailing.
You might also check local community colleges that have "alternative certification" programs for public school certification. They often use education faculty to teach some of the classes.
